There are some excellent restaurants in Normandy. And you can also find excellent and local food in small establishments.

A ‘must’ visit in the ‘rustic’ category is LE CHAMPETRE in La Chapelle sur Dun. It is a truly ‘French’ experience. Le Champetre is also a bar and grocery shop. The atmosphere is lively and very friendly.

Tucked away in the centre of Angiens (a village just 3 km inland from Veules les Roses), you will find RESTAURANT REVES GOURMANDS. The food is excellent and the prices more than reasonable !

Just inland a few kilometres at Luneray is LE ROYAL GARDEN. This is a bar with restaurant serving good food at very reasonable prices. For those with a taste for pizzas, there is a very good selection and they can be ordered to take away.

At Manneville-es-Plains, you wil find AUBERGE DE L’ETANG. This establishment serves excellent food at very reasonable prices.

On the coast in a westerly direction, we can recommend three restaurants in Saint Valery-en-Caux. LA PASSERELLE at the CASINO is excellent and one of our favourites for special occasions.

Also in ST. Valery-en-Caux is LE CATAMARAN, a small inexpensive restaurant specialising in mussels.

At the top end of the marina is LE BISTROT VAL RIQAIS which serves a variety of dishes including excellent steaks. Prices are reasonable.

Continuing on the coast road in an easterly direction is the village of Sotteville-sur-Mer. Here you will find another excellent restaurant called LES EMBRUNS (necessary to pre book). The quality of food is superb and priced very reasonably. 

A ten minute drive further east brings you to Quiberville sur Mer and here we have another good find! L'HUITRIERE which is located on the sea front and is open all day during the summer. 

Continuing on the coast road again in an easterly direction, you will come to the village of Varengeville sur Mer. Here you will find another excellent eatery called AUBERGE DU RELAIS. The quality of food and choice of menu is excellent.

Continuing into the next village at Pourville, there is another excellent venue - LE TROU NORMAND. Superb food and very attentive service.

Then into Dieppe, near the port, and in small streets in center, several addresses : LA MARMITE DIEPPOISE, LES VOILES D'OR, CHEZ L'GROS, BISTROS DU POLLET...
